TWIXT LAND AND SEA TALES
Otago is a fragment of a sea tale, a sort of extract from Joseph Conrad’s “Twixt land and Sea tales”. In fact, Otago owes its name to the great English writer: that of the last boat of which he was captain, before leaving the sea and devote himself entirely to literature. Otago invites you to close your eyes, by indulging you in its gentle roll and for a moment imagine yourself on board, in another time, in remote and fantastic places.
DESIGN & MATERIALS
Chaise-longue of nautical inspiration, designed like the deck of a sailboat. Anatomical and tilting in a relaxed position, you only need to breathe to produce a pleasant and light movement.
Structure in burma teak strips (selected only “rigatino”), thickness of 11 mm, chamfered and sealed with nautical rubber, on two solid ash wood spars, thickness of 40 mm.
Entirely shaped and sanded by hand, with helicoidal edges. Oiled with specific nautical product for teak.
Natural leather padding with hydrophobic treatment.
